RE: Pictures

Now this is an interesting subject, provided people do not post massive
picture files to the list :-]

JBA49, please tell us who you are, where you are from, and more about
what you are interested in and I'm sure that many people on the list
will be able to help you.

The Egham Band has an extensive picture library (>100 on the walls of
the bandroom alone). Since we started on 1895 we have quite a few
interesting pictures from this era, including one taken in 1900 when the
band played for a celebration for the relief of Ladysmith in the Boer
War. Interestingly a large proportion of the band appear to be playing
helicons, which have now disappeared from the brass band instrument
family. Please contact me privately about getting a copy - although this
may take a while due to lack of access to a scanner.

I am trying to compile a portfolio of vintage pictures (iscanned images)
of
late 19th and early 20th century bands. Anybody out there have anything
to
share?
