Folks, I received this mail on Wednesday from Bob Childs. Although I immediately forwarded it to the list it seems to have gotten lost along the way (I had wondered why people where still discussing it). Let's try again! -Nigel > Dear Nigel, > I've just recieved a fax originally sent by the brass band mailing list and > signed Edd. In the fax the author is asking for clarification on Mr James > Watson's longterm position as conductor of the Black Dyke Band. > I would like you to answer his rather loaded question, because I'm not on the > list. > James Watson has no intention of resigning from the band, the band and James > are extremely happy with each other. We are currently working hard towards > winning the Yorkshire Area Contest next weekend and have numerous exciting > long term projects in hand. > You might be kind enough to convey to Edd. that if he really wanted to know > the truth on the this, or any other Black Dyke related rumour ; all he really > needed to do was pick up a phone and speak to people belonging to the > organisation. We have a fax, phone and answering machine. I am accessible > through e-mail, Euph4Bob@aol. > These sort of open ended questions can cause problems and mearly perpetuates > the very rumour which the author is allegedly trying to quash ! > > BOB CHILDS Euphonium / assistant conductor. > -- Nigel Horne.
