I did read the letter in the British Bandsman. I have to say that I agree 
with it almost unreservedly. I can appreciate the desire to be associated 
with a band that turns up to practices diligently, no matter whether they 
are paid or have to pay to be there. (I am a member of such a band!!). 
In creating FCB, Jeremy Wise has highlighted the fact that a brass band 
is about commitment and "togetherness". I think FCB will 
probably go on to become one of the best bands in this area.
