This was posted a week ago but I haven't seen it on the list. Her's my $.02 on odd mouthpieces. I use Doug Elliott mouthpieces. They are made in 3 pieces, rim, cup, and shank that screw together. As a tuba player I play on 3 different tubas. All have different cup and shank needs. With this system I can keep using the same rim for all tubas, but change the shanks and cups. He even made me a shank to adapt a tuba mouthpiece to a trombone. He also makes the rims in Lexan(polycarbonate plastic), great for us S.A.'s that play outside at Christmas. He makes mouthpieces for tenor trombone down to the tuba. address: Doug Elliott Mouthpieces 13619 Layhill Road Silver Spring, Maryland 20906 phone: 301-871-3535 fax: 301-598-9094 Bill.Conant@xxxxxxxx BBb bass Quincy SA EEb bass New England Brass Band --------- End forwarded message ---------- You don't need to buy Internet access to use free Internet e-mail.
