NEWS: Second Year Anniversary

On the behalf of all the staff and management at Hosaphone(tm) Headquarters
we wish to thank you for visiting the Hosaphone(tm) Headquarters web site
over the past two years. Since it began on April 1st, 1996 with little
more than an FAQ, a clunky ISP and but a dream it has grown into a voice
that speaks directly to the dawning of the post-modern age accessible to
everyone via its T3 link at http://www.roth-music.com/hosaphone

The Hosaphone(tm) FAQ made its debut on the TPIN (Trumpet Players'
International Network) and was quickly thrusted into the media spotlight
being featured
on the Netscape sponsored RealAudio show 'SPANQ!' by co-host Trip Anchor
http://www.roth-music.com/hosaphone/celebs/ Since then Hosaphone(tm)
Headquarters has been given a web site award by the Philadelphia Inquirer
online in July 1997 (http://www.roth-music.com/hosaphone/New) and mentioned
in the Washington Post. Only these two fine publications can boast of how
this has increased their circulation and net earnings.

The jazzy blues work, Codetta in C for Hosaphone(tm), Piano and Bass
comp(h)osed by David A. Roth, has been performed in the UK in Wantage,
Oxfordshire, by Hosaphone(tm) Soloist, Graham Cross, where the performance
was awarded "best in class" in the Entertainment class of Wantage Band's
annual band contest by adjudicator Helen Wright.

Codetta in C was aired as an "extra" on the syndicated Dr. Demento Radio
Show's Funny Five on August 31, 1997.

Of the things to come are a sequel to the Hosaphone(tm) Warm-Up that will
explore the soaring range of the Hosaphone(tm), by the inventor/mentor of
the beloved, revered and mostly plastic Hosaphone(tm), Ellis Workman.
Also, a brass quartet arrangement accompaniment to Codetta in C. There will
also be an interview made available at Hosaphone(tm) Headquarters with Mr.
Workman at his home in the foothills of Rochester, MN.

Excerpt from the most important brasswind grand treatise of the 20th
century, the Hosaphone(tm) FAQ:

2.1) What is a Hosaphone(tm)?

What is art? What is beauty? It is almost beyond the scope of human
understanding to answer these questions within the span of a lifetime. At
what point does the craftsman become artist and in so making that art,
become part of that art him- or herself? With this monumental task before
us, we strive to forge ahead as we embark on a journey together to learn
about the Hosaphone(tm) through a process of self-discovery. To learn about
the Hosaphone(tm) is to learn about our selves. They come with tassels too.
