Dear List,

I have a problem I hope someone can help me with. Some time ago our band
purchased 2 new Besson 700 Eb Horns for our beginners. On initial
inspection they seemed ok, so we gave them to 2 of our kids. Of late I
noticed that the valves occasionaly stick. They are past their warranty. I
presume they had this problem from the start, but as they were being played
by beginners (11 & 12 years old), I didn`t realise there was a problem. I
know others on this list have had problems with Bessons, and I was
wondering has anyone come up with any answers? Is it possible to have the
valves re-aligned or something? Changing valve oil helped a bit. I`m going
to complain to Besson, but being realistic, I know I`ll have to find an
answer myself.

On a related issue, some of our older instruments are could do with an
"overhaul", and we`re looking for someone to re-condition them. Has anyone
any suggestions.
