The Second section was won by Langbaurgh Brass, second were Wetherby Band, who played my Bridge on the Wharfe. The Third Section was won by South Milford and the Fourth Section by Dynamix Brass. Not many bands turned out - I'd be interested to hear why there should be so many withdrawals, which for the first and second sections really spoilt the day. Still, our trophy cabinet will look less like a 'web site' for the next twelve months... Drighlington played 'Journey into Freedom', Harrogate played Thomas Wilson's 'Sinfonietta' and Langbaurgh played 'Dimensions'. The moral of the day was: if you want to use all your pedal timps, book a big coach!
