Vibrato/Tpt v cornet length

Hi Ron,
It's news to me, and no doubt to many others on the list, that the trumpet is
longer than the cornet. I was always taught, and my research confirmed, they
are the SAME length, hence the same pitch.
Most of us were under the misaprehension they were just different in bore
style.Your information will prove valuable.
