The solution I suggest for a CD recorded at different sessions with slightly different members is the one I see occasionally used in jazz recordings (yes, some of us also listen to jazz!). Include the list of everyone from both sessions, but put a single asterisk next to those who did the first but not the second session, and a double asterisk next to those who did the 2nd and not the 1st. A footnote explains the difference. That way, everyone gets their due credit and no one gets left out. >---------- >From: Simon.Loukes@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx[SMTP:Simon.Loukes@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx] >Sent: Thursday, May 14, 1998 11:04 AM >To: brass-band@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx >Subject: Re: Polyphonic Label > >Graham Young wrote: >> The obvious solution is to list the members who >>performed on the CD. > >While i agree completely with what everyone says about listing the players >who played >on the CD, what do you do if it is a CD using two sessions months apart when >the band >personnel has changed.
