I think I am right in saying that your near neighbours, the Wingates Band,
were formed in 1872 as Wingates Temperance and dispite several changes of
name and sposorship, not to mention the mining disaster that claimed the
lives of many bandsmen, they have been in continuous existance ever since.

The man to speak to about it is Charlie Southern.
