Mmm. Everyone has an off day. If you had heard Roger Webster and Steven 
Mead at the British Open earlier this year, your opinion of both of them 
might be different. Their playing was absolutely breathtaking (IMO) in a 
very exposed eauph/cornet duet. The whole audience were on the edge of 
their seats. At the end of the duet passage, there was an audible "sigh" 
as everybody in the hall relaxed back into their seats.

I too prefer the sound of Philip McCann, but I think that Roger Webster 
has more to offer than any other principal cornet player around at the 
moment.
