-----Original Message----- From: Edward Dixon <66334802@xxxxxxxxx> To: brass-band@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx <brass-band@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Date: 19 May 1998 23:02 Subject: Recording of Meiso? Dear all, Can anyone recommend a good recording of the Tenor Horn and Baritone duet 'Meiso'? (sp) Regards, Edd. It can be heard on Dyke's CD 'The Essence of Time' - Polyphonic QPRL 047D. A jolly good performance and the album also includes Wilfred Heaton's Toccata and a great piece by Torstein Aagaard-Nielsen called 'Circius - Wind of the North'. The only things which spoil the recording are a) yet another version of the tedious and tiresome Carnival of Venice, and b) (as I mentioned in a different context a while ago) - the presence of a photo of Howard Snell Brass instead of Dyke!
