In response to comments made on the day it appears that it was not so much a grudge byjudges but a personal opinion. For example after the contast independent witnesses passed comment that Faireys had split too many and splits count in one particular judges eyes, YBS were very very exciting yet blew too loud, one observer said it was obscene and the judges should mark it down. Briggus were loud but loose. Let each judge to his own tastes. Clean performances aren't everything, surely the idea is to make music and not to count how many correct notes are in there. -----Original Message----- From: JEREMY P WISE <jeremy.wise@xxxxxxxxxxx> To: brass-band@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx <brass-band@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Date: 25 May 1998 15:14 Subject: Full Masters Results - correct this time.(I hope) >The results are as follows: The adjudicators were Brand, Crees and Relton >and I have put their positions in that order.
