I was the one clapping at the end!   I enjoyed the performance, 
especially the final dance which was the brightst and neatest I 
heard.  There seemed to be a surprising number of split/loose entries 
in the first and second dances, especially in cornets and horns.  This was to 
become one of the themes of the day but at that earlier hour the 
adjudicators and Mr Brand may not have become accustomed to hearing 
so many.  Cool bass solo!
