Hello from Norway!I have read the coments after the Masters with intrest. It
seem to me like this kind of judging is good, but may have to be impoved a bit
to work.
I think that the traditional judging with judges talking together is wrong. If
they can talk together there wil always be a strong one, and a weak one and the
overall result will colored by this judge opinion. (We have all been to
contests where the judges need several hours to get agreed after the last band
have played (???))

I think it is better that each judge give a complete ranking, than point on a
scale from 1 to 100, but I dont think that each ranking should be published. I
think it is rather important to keep the seperat rankings as a secret, and only
publish the overall ranking. If the rankings are to be oficial, there must be
at least five judges, with only the three in the midle counting.

When we are talking about inovating the brass band, I think the judging system
is the first and most imporatnt to inovate. The old system with points from 1
to 100 is in fact very bad.
