To add to the debate over people playing more than one instrument: The father of one of the kids in our youth band is a pro tuba player - he doubles on euph when required (as do most orchestral tuba players I believe) and is scheduled to perform on an Ophicleide (probably incorrect spelling!) during the BBC Proms. Now I doubt that outfits like the BBC Symphony Orchestra would engage this chap unless he was capable of doing the job. (Real life case study). =A0=A0 Andy Wooler Resident Conductor, Uckfield Concert Brass Responses sent on a weekend may be supported by King & Barnes or Harveys Breweries, Sussex, UK MD The Classic Dance Band, Trumpet: Sussex Symphony Orchestra andy@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx , http://www.awooler.demon.co.uk -- unsubscribe or receive the list in digest form, mail a message of 'help' to listserver@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
