1. Disregard principles of good playing.
2. Listen for particular minutae which you have predetermined to be
important.
3. Have an idea of how you would take the piece and disregard all other
interpretations.
4. Reward poor tuning, soloists, wrong entries.
5. Listen to applause and adulation and reward bands in inverse proportion.
6. Sit with nose in air during presentation of prizes.
7. Smile smugly all the way home.
8. Notice strange ching in corner of left eye in car mirror, what are
all these flies??????.................
