To someone just tuning in to this thread, it will look as though I've got it in for bass trombone players, when all I was doing was quoting verbatim a newspaper interview with a bass trombone player, and inviting comments. Why, some of my best friends are bass trombone players - honestly! (Although I can't think of any, just at this very minute.....)
