Re: Anthem - Queen of Australia



I think you might have been given the wrong steer on this Phil .The Anthem
when it is used as a general salute or a Royal salute then of course only
the first part is played if the Queen or family is not in
attendance,different to using it as the National anthem. On the subject of
our so called Anthem I wonder what other country would allow their Anthem
to be performed in the wrong time sig(Julie Anthony) or elong-gating the
the last phrase,not to mention all the pop singers variations. I think it's
a bit like metric conversions,the majority of the population have not
bothered to even  learn the words but still want to cut the ties to
England.  "Fickle people"
