I had a great time on my first visit to this event and was very
impressed by the standard of the bands competing. We arrived at Denton
Cricket Club in Manchester at about 6.00pm and left after the last band
at about 12.30am
As a 'novice' I have a few questions about this event...

1. When do the results become available for the individual locations and
the overall prizes?

2. Is it usual for there to be a 2 hour gap between bands as there was
at Denton (8.00 - 10.10 ish)? I gathered that several bands tried to end
up at Denton for a pint or two at the end!!!

3. How good is the access to other locations such as Saddleworth (sp?) I
have heard that some roads are closed by the police at some point?

4. Where can I obtain information about locations, starting times etc.
in anticipation of next year?

Many thanks to all who made last Friday an excellent night-out for me
and many others.
