Jeremy.... I don't mean to blow my own horn, but I did an arrangement of Bernstein's"On the Waterfront" which is a dazzling opener or closer. It's 5 minutes long and requires two timpani players. It was only played once by Rigid Containers at Rothmans. Is that obscure enough? Regards.
