I have never heard an adjudicator say "the winners are the band that played
the loudest" which is quite amazing considering the many stupid thing that
I have heard them say.

Why knock the adjudicators, I have seen musical directors do stupid things
as well.
we wait with abated breath to the comments you make when adjudcating top
contest:-). also I know some adjudicators will mark you down playing loudly
if no tone quality is there, ie G. Brand, well he is stupid!!!!!! :-)
