Around 1978, the JSVB toured Australia and our band had the pleasure of
hosting the group for their weekend in Melbourne.   The responsibility
for feeding and looking after David Moore (eupho) and Colin Aspinall
(bass) fell on me I suppose because the euphos and basses are supposed
to have something in common (beer?).  

As it happens we did and I enjoyed their visit very much.  As I was
listening to one of their recordings today, I wondered what has become
of the group and its members.  I'm sure I saw James Shephard sitting in
the cornet line during the Brassed Off movie and we hear a lot about
Gordon Higginbotham over here but I would like to know if David and
Colin are still playing and if so, where.
