I got a brochure listing all mouthpieces made by Schilke from Phil Parkers in London, and there is a brief explanation of mouthpiece design in it. When choosing a Schilke mouthpiece there are 4 or 5 different dimensions to consider. Certain combinations (the more popular ?) are listed in the brochure and cost around 35 UKP (for cornet), if you want a combination that is not listed in the brochure Phil Parker's told me that it costs around 75 UKP and there is a 12 week delivery time (as they are custom made in the US). I wouldn't be without my Schilke 10B4C cornet mouthpiece, its the best I've played on.
