Nigel, Linux comes complete with 'sendmail' why not configure that to handle the mailing list. I have just set up sendmail on SCO OpenServer 5.0.4 and it is running like a dream. I have some mailing list stuff on my UNIX box here, I'll mail you it if you like ? And, of course, being UNIX, you could set up a cron to handle things whilst you're away.
