Andy David Cooper in the KM Gillingham band asked me a related question. My reply below You are absolutely right Norman Jones is the Federation Secretary and has been running a campaign in his role as Secretary of London & Home Counties Brass Band Association to get a fair share for London based bands in the parks. My concern as yours is that only bands in membership of the Federation or an association that is a member will get a look in. David had already gleaned the info concerning the ending of Phillip Bigg's alleged involvement with the Royal Parks jobs and had made a contact with the person at DOE who was to add the band to his list. It will be interesting to see if we get the nod as it were. Bob >>> Andy Wooler 08/12/1998 10:59 >>> I find this disturbing - will the federation be recommending bands who are not in membership i.e. the majority of bands in the UK? Andy Wooler >Several telephone calls later I discovered that they will be seeking advice >from the Fed. as to which bands they should book. Also, that a ceiling >will be set for fees. -- unsubscribe or receive the list in digest form, mail a message of 'help' to -- unsubscribe or receive the list in digest form, mail a message of 'help' to
