A cheap solution is to build frames (height:2m, width:1m) with wooden beams and then drape them with stretch sheets. If you have crossing legs on these, they can stand in the middle of the room, surrounding the band and take some of the sound . We used this solution with Ila, when we were practising in a house with brick walls, and it surely was a ok solution when we couldn't change the surfaces of the room.
