course the opening to "Brassed Off" (and it appears on a couple of
Grimethorpe CD's) I know little else.

Can anyone out there shed a little more light on the subject - >>

R.D. Hall was a contemporary of J.P. Sousa and a fine cornet player in
his day. He was called on to rebuild a National Guard band and wrote this
march in their honor. Apparently he was a fine bandmaster as well.
