Re: Silent Brass for Tenor Horn?????

A very good substitute is a bass trombone whisper or practice mute. There
is a Stone Lined one available. Sandy Smith uses one quite extensively when
practicing and anything that Sandy uses is not bad. He stayed with me while
appearing with our band and I didn't hear him play hardly at all without it
until it came time to rehearse with our band. I have since been a convert,
using it some each day in my practice
.
