Hi - the best cornet players from England at the moment (of the younger
(under 40)
generation) - IMO would include:David Daws - probably the best stand up
soloist that I have heard lately,
also Richard Marshall, Matt Baker, Ben Godfrey, Ian Porthouse. From
Scotland Graeme McCulloch has emerged lately at Brighouse and there are not
many better than Ian Williams at Cory in Wales. All of these players have
different styles and sounds  but have that indefinable mark of quality about
their playing.

Apologies to any that feel they should have been included but have not.
