What about Jim Sheperd? There's also Alan Morrison, Ian Porthouse, you only
have to look around the top section bands and there's loads of cornet
players making a name for themselves. 

And women too!! Hellen Fox, Linda Nicholson etc.

Also don't forget Maurice Murphy - a legend in his own right!

I thought Roger Webster was from yorkshire too - Barnsley isn' t it.
