Absolutely.  My earlier message was merely implying that the reason 
that Maurice Murphy was such a big name as a cornet player was that 
he was trumpet player waiting to be discovered !

You are quite right : I should re-assess it for the sake of accuracy.

Big name + cornet player = oxymoron.

Any name + soprano cornet player = moron

There : that seems to cover it.
