Hello Denise

My father  had an allergy problem - he tried the wooden rimmed
mouthpieces but found that his top register and power was significantly
reduced by them - I suppose along the principal which has lead to the
development of the heavy top mouthpieces - material density problems with
the wood. He ended up using a perspex rim on a normal plated brass
mouthpiece.
