On the tuba-euph-list, there was a discussion on the 3v-baritone versus the 4v-baritone. I had a mail from Steven Booth where he expresses his concern for this lovely instrument. I think a great promotion for this instrument is putting people in front of the band (as a soloist), also on recordings. My question: witch CD's have recordings of baritone-solo's? I have (for now): **Sally in your alley (is this correct?) (on an Black-Dyke recording) **Meiso, duet with horn (on "Essence of time",Black Dyke, and my absolute favorite!) **Rutland Water(on "Variations", Desford) I hope there are a lot more of them, and if not, then there should be more of them. Stef. BTW, on our next concert, our baritone player (Tinne Avonds) is playing Rutland Water, so we are doing an effort. -- unsubscribe or receive the list in digest form, mail a message of 'help' to
