I think you will find that this list is much less formal than those
based in the US. I also subscribe to Bandchat and Community Music
mailing lists which are both US based and although they are both
interesting with useful information I do not look forward to reading
them as much as I do this list. I feel that people on the Brass Band
list - especially the regular contributors - are my friends and that the
wit and repartee exchanged between them are an important part of the
lists attraction.
