Concert Announcement

The Triangle Brass Band of North Carolina invites everyone to 
BrassFest '99, our yearly celebration of brass playing and
brass banding, which takes place next Saturday, February
27th, at Leesville Road School in Raleigh, NC.

We begin with an afternoon of clinics for local music students.
The featured clinician is Mr. Jim Miller, principal trombone for
the North Carolina Symphony Orchestra, who will work with
all clinic participants in the early afternoon.  The musicians then
break up into sectional groups for individual clinics with Mr.
Miller or other local music educators.  The afternoon events
conclude with a concert by the Triangle Brass Quintet.

The music resumes at 7:30 in the evening, with a concert
featuring the Triangle Youth Brass Band and the Triangle
Brass.  Mr. Miller will perform a work with both groups, 
including the Bourgeois Trombone Concerto with the Triangle
Brass.  Clinic enrollment is $10, which includes a ticket
to the evening's concert.  Tickets for the concert alone
are $10 (adult) and $5 (student/senior).  BrassFest '99
T-shirts will be on sale throughout the day; proceeds from
the T-shirt sales benefit the Triangle Brass new instruments
fund.
