Last night Grimethorpe (or was that Grimley) entertained a packed Civic theatre here in Newcastle, playing something for everyone. No one could have been disappointed, the warmth of sound and chords that just build, absolutely marvellous. The first few bars of Danny Boy almost brought the house down. I was particularly impressed by Richard Marshall's playing (he makes it look so easy) and I enjoyed the trombone section. The dynamic range of the band was what we have come to expect from top British bands and the guys (or should I say lads) seemed to enjoy themselves. It's a shame this sought of thing does not happen more often......down here. Paul Flugel Waratah Brass P.S. I'm a bit disappointed that Gloria did not tour with the boys ;-) -- unsubscribe or receive the list in digest form, mail a message of 'help' to
