Hi Alistair I have played a Sovereign for years and about 2 years ago I had the opportunity to play the Maestro which I played for 9 months. I have now reverted back to a Sovereign 928GS large bore because of the much better tone and warmth. I have had a go on a Bach and find they are good for high notes but they are very bright, too bright for me anyway. In my opinion you have to go for sound rather than ease. hope I was some help Mark Bingham (Bingy) Principal cornet 1st Old Boys Band (Belfast) -- unsubscribe or receive the list in digest form, mail a message of 'help' to
