Hmmm - that's what I thought I said - if I didn't, that's 'cos it was late
on Saturday night after the area AND a visit (with the reprobates of the
band) to the local social club...What I meant to say was something to the
effect of "it's not the winning that counts..." - we don't necessarily play
to win - we play to enjoy it and to play well.  And would you believe it, at
this year's area, (in our opinion,) we did both!  Watch out next year - we
might get some fighting spirit!

PS if it was only silverware that inspired us...  we would not have made it
to our 106th year as a local village band!
