Hi Monkey,
Jim tells me that you can be sued over what you write here, so he wouldn't
let me dish the dirt! There again he doesn't know how to switch the machine
on, so he wouldn't know.

This new phrase from the Area that I'm talking about is written in the
programme like this:
" Two bands will qualify for consideration for an invitation to the Final in
London..."
I take this to mean that even if you win the Area, it's at the committee's
discretion as to whether you actually go to London or not. You can imagine
the uproar this could cause, so I'm not quite sure why they're making such
an issue of it.

I wondered whether it just meant that the two bands will be going to London
unless they find any discrepencies in the meanwhile- you know, un-registered
players, etc- I really don't know.

The Contesting Council were sued over their disqualification of Rhos Band
from the Finals and I so I thought perhaps they were just covering their
backs to stop this happening again.
As you can see I don't know anything definate and was just wondering if
anyone else did.

On to other things- Yes it was the Dave King of YBS, and Martin Obermuller
was conducting Fixton.
Fodens troms are - John Barber, Becky Smith, Toby Brennan- I think, but no
doubt you'll be inundated with mail if not!
