Is Nick Childs becoming one of the best of all time conductors?!
I think so.  He now has won  6 contests with various bands since 
last year!  Ie:  North West Area contest 1998 and 1999, Harry 
Ramsden Masters and Brass In Concert with Fodens.  He also 
won with my band the Ever Ready at the Northern Area 
championship (by 3 points) and just yesterday won with Bodmin!!

Nick is an absolute workhorse but an excellent conductor.  I look 
forward to winning next year at our area contest again, especially 
when he fills the cup 5 or 6 times with some sort of concoction he 
invented.  What a hangover I had!!!

Well done Nick.  May well it continue, especially with our band.  
(Third time lucky eh?).

All the best to Fodens at the Albert Hall.  Hope to beat you this 
time!
