Hi Band People

I'm new to the list, having recently begun an attempt to revive my cornet
playing career after a 17 year distraction (being now in the Autumn years of
life at 36)...

I'm about to ditch a career in computing to begin life as a barrister and
anticipate time on my hands to see if age and guile make for a better cornet
player than youth and good teeth.

I'm also interested in the history of cornet playing and players - so if
anyone can recommend any resources I'd love to hear from you.

Excavating the ruins of my musical equipment I came across a mouthpiece of
which I have no recollection of ever buying or being given.  It doesn't fit
my current cornet so if anyone on the list wants it I'd be happy to give it
away to a good home - it's a B&H Kosicup 1 1/2.
