Massed Bands Concert

Dear List members

A note to announce/promote a "Massed Bands" Concert on Saturday, 17th
April in Derbyshire, UK.

Featuring:
Riddings "A" band - MD John Davis (now Championship Section), Riddings
"B" band
and Melbourne Town Band - MD Geoff Gossage

At:
Riddings Community Centre, Riddings Derbyshire

Time: 7.00pm   Tickets 3.00 

A varied program, classical to modern, featuring soloists from all 3
bands.  If you have nothing else to do, why not come along?  Tickets
available on the door or from John Davis (d4vis@xxxxxxx), Sue Worrall

Directions to Riddings Community Centre

Directions from the M1 motorway. J 26 

Leave the M1 at junc 26.  At the (large) island take the A610 to Ripley
(turn left at the bottom of the slip road).  Follow until you get to
some traffic lights at a T junc. (2 miles)

At the traffic lights (T junction) turn right .  

Then (50 yards) Take the 1st right keeping the "Red Admiral" pub on the
right.

Follow this road through the countryside and down and up a hill (you are
now in Riddings).  Just before Kwik Save (and pelican crossing) on the
right is the Green Hill pub. Turn right immediately after the Green Hill
pub

The Riddings Community Centre is 500 yards on your left. 



Directions from the M1 motorway. J 28  (From the north, you missed J26
or you like the A38)

leave the M1 at junc 28  at the (large) island  (get in the right hand
lane) take the A38 to Derby.  On the A38 take the 2nd exit (the B600). 
At the top of the slip road (T junction) turn left.  Go up the little
hill and pass B & Q and ALDI (on your right).

As you come into a built up area (houses both sides) you will go
straight over two (very close together) mini islands then you will get
to a 3rd mini island - turn right at the mini island.  Follow this road
until it bends sharp right and as it does take the left turn keeping the
Elf Garage on your right.

Up and over the little hill you will see KwiK Save on your right. 
Through the pelican crossing you will see the Green Hill Pub on your
front left.  Turn left immediately before the Green Hill pub

The Riddings Community centre is 500 yards on your left.
