Perhaps we should ask for a clarification on this. As one of the other members on
the list stated, I also remember seeing a post that stated that it was just Mr & Mrs
James Watson who were invited, not the whole band.
Frankly, I find it difficult to believe that the Oscars would go to the Great
expense of inviting the Black Dyke Band as a complete unit on such short notice
where there would not appear to be time to shop for discount rates etc on the
flights.

Come on, Black Dyke, someone on the list should be able to clear up this information
and either kill this mistaken interpretation that the whole band was invited, or
that they were indeed and that they are a band of honour and thus honouring their
intial commitment, which if the case, is truly proper.
They also have a schedule that does not permit much free time for flexibility to
come back and do another gig if such were to be needed and arranged.
Just my 1/2 US, full Canadian Dollar's worth!
