The Bassman returns from Lurkland!!!!

Why are loads of people so het up on this Dyke issue??!!  Sure, they 
are the most famous band in the world and yes true they are having a 
few 'problems' of late, but why are people so bothered about it?

Whether it is true or not about women members, alledged missing 
money or bands members receiving renumeration it really has nothing 
to do with anyone except the current members of Black Dyke and the 
mangement commitee.  I feel why should Black Dyke explain 
themselves, hopefully Mr Childs has put a few things straight but for 
people to demand Dyke to comment is wrong.  Band politics should 
remain within the band and dealt by the band, it has nothing to do with 
anyone else.

If Dyke pay 'expenses', so what.  It is their decision what to pay and to 
whom.  There are quite a few other players out there in other bands 
that receive 'expenses'!!  On the women issue, obviously there are 
male bandsmen out there that prefer all male bands, such as our good 
friend Monkey, believe me there are a few!!  (Im' expressing no 
comment at this stage).  Whether or not you think it is right or wrong, it 
is of their opinion.  We'll just have to accept it, you'll not be able to 
change it!!

Anyway Dyke have never found trouble in finding players, they will 
survive and whether they recruit loads of women, pay loads of 
'expenses', at the end of the day it is Dykes decision!!!

We do appreciate Mr Childs (see you tonight!!) unofficial and private 
comments on the situation but let us leave the band to rectify these 
issues internally and not witter on about it.
