I see on the Brass Band World web site that Black Dyke have released a
statement to the band press stating the reason why Kevin and Lee were
"dismissed" from the band is because they didn't agree with the band's
recent recruitment policy.

The report also states the dismissed players deny that the trouble
amounted to sexism in the band.

Does anybody really know what is going on?  The press statement seems to
be a different position than the posting issued by Bob Childs.
