Mr Crockforth seems to be telling us that he was invited to leave the 
band over a difference of opinion on playing standards! Now if it is 
one thing that banding is known for it is differences of opinion. 
Maybe some of the comments on these pages over the past few years on 
musical taste are closer to the mark. To be sacked once is unfortunate 
but twice.............................................................
