A friend of mine asked Frank Renton about this a few years ago.  He alleged
that he had tried this method once whilst adjudicating and accidentally
swore on the tape.  Apparently he hasn't been asked to tape comments ever
since.
I don't know to which contest he was referring, but it would have to have
been at least seven years ago - probably quite a few more.
