Just a quick announcement concerning a "Best of British" concert that the
Toowoomba Municipal Brass Band is putting on next Sunday the 23rd of May. It
will be held in the Toowoomba Empire Theatre at 2.00pm.

Some of the performers include Brisbane Excelsior Brass Band, Ourselves of
course, Caledonian Pipe Band, Rosemarie Arthars (international soprano), Henry
Ruhl (Champion Baritone), Scottish dancers, Irish dancers, ballet and tap
dancers.

Some of the music will be:

Nimrod
The White Cliffs of Dover with soloist Rosemarie Arthars
The Dambusters
Holst Suite No 1 - 2nd and 3rd movements
Floral Dance
Rule Britannia with Rosemarie Arthars
Elizabethan Serenade
Montage
Jerusalem with soloist Henry Ruhl
Plus lots more of course.

Tickets are $20/adult; $15 concession; $10 children; $50 family (2 adults, 2
children) and $15 per person in a group of 10 or more.

Should be an excellent afternoon, so if you are around Toowoomba next weekend,
then come along and enjoy.
