Hmm... supposing I were many years younger, and many times better at
playing this Bb instrument of mine.
I fill in the form: "Instrument: tuba (tenor)".

Surely acceptable?

For that is what it is, marketing names like "euphonium"
nohstanding. There are even orchestral parts for it - notably French
music (so it must be OK for Eurovision :-)

PS - was it Holst who, when asked why he put "tenor tuba" on a score,
rather than "euphonium", replied that he wanted it played without excess
vibrato?
